Charlie Sheen Appears in The Villages

Dear Diary,

I saw Charlie Sheen.

Yes, I did. I really did.

I saw Charlie Sheen in The Villages.

It was 6:30 p.m., on Channel 6, and it was in a rerun of "2 1/2 Men."

I'm just saying.

Now that I have your attention here are a few photos I snapped today. Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did snapping them.

Until this time next time.

See you in print.

Writing Quote:

"Not that the story need be long, but it will take a long while to make it short."--Henry David Thoreau

Writing Tip:

Got a story inside you? If it is your passion to tell it, here's a little tip. Set aside 30 minutes a day to write it. Then simply show up each day. Write one page. Time yourself. Set a clock timer for 30 minutes. If you finish writing before the timer goes off, keep writing. Or, go back and rewrite what you have written.

Meet "Sunshine." This little baby does 0-15 in 1 minute and 20 seconds and gets 33 miles to one charge. It's electric! Note the air conditioning unit on passenger side dash. In The Villages, transportation can be a golf cart. But driver beware. There is such a thing as golf cart police. If a driver is caught speeding, driving with an open container of alcoholic beverage, or under the influence, it will cost you. Fines start at $243.00. Golf carts are specific only to The Villages, cannot drive on main highways, and must follow strict rules. The State of Florida can rescind this privilege at any time.

Golf cart path to your left, main highway to your right. Golf cart paths are two lanes. This photo was taken on the holiday. It is rare occasion either roads are this empty.

The Florida sky.

Along the yellow brick road, er, golf cart path, is scenic view of Arnold Palmer Country Club golf course. I understand it is a super expert course, and I have been advised not to attempt it as a new golfer.

Spanish Springs. Note "Sunshine" smiling in that row of carts.

Someplace sweet in Spanish Springs.
This one's for Charlie. Say goodnight Linda. Goodnight Linda.
