Whenever I must submit a chapter of my book to my writing coach, I have a hard time doing that. I want to hide my work. I know it is a draft and needs polishing, but I am embarrassed. I remind myself they are just words on paper, something for me to work with after I've finished writing the whole book.
Don't explain your writing. Ever. It wastes energy. A writer, especially a writing coach, will understand your initial effort is a rough draft.
